If your home gardening needs demand the height and space of a
functional greenhouse, but you’re not ready for a large hobby
greenhouse, this walk-in greenhouse is made for you. The Sierra
Aluminum walk-in greenhouse offers many options for the gardening
enthusiast. The structure can be permanently placed, or disassemble and
moved when necessary; this function allows you to try out different
sites on your property to find out what works best.
The Sierra is ready to be set up for your gardening comfort: Add
shelving units or introduce benches in the interior to organize the
space as you like. A window in the roof ensures proper ventilation for
your seedlings and plants. A galvanized steel base is available with
this hobby greenhouse as well. The base is easy to assemble and gives
the greenhouse stability while making it more airtight—an
especially worthwhile feature for those in windy or storm-prone areas.

The polycarbonate greenhouse, with extruded aluminum framing, retains
heat and moisture while blocking wind and cold. The efficient structure
lets in light and screens out harmful UV rays, allowing flowers,
vegetables and plants to develop in a productive environment.
About the construction:The
Sierra’s lightweight polycarbonate material, known as
Coverlite, is the same kind used in commercial greenhouses. Made by
Amerilux and used in all Amerilux greenhouses, the virtually
unbreakable substance is 10 times stronger than acrylic and 200 times
stronger than glass. Coverlite is also safer than glass, provides
better insulation, and—unlike glass—blocks harmful
UV rays. The polycarbonate used in this hobby greenhouse is also a
better choice than plastic sheeting, which doesn't provide as much
light, thermal insulation, or protection from elements such as strong
rain and hail. Another drawback to plastic is that proper venting is
essential for greenhouse performance. The sturdy polycarbonate allows
the manufacturer to easily incorporate vents into designs; venting thin
polyethylene is very difficult.
This greenhouse’s extruded aluminum frame is the strongest
available on the market. Many, even seasoned horticulture enthusiasts,
don’t realize that there are different grades of extruded
aluminum. These greenhouses are made from the highest strength tempered
aluminum, 6063 T6, which is anodized to provide a maintenance free
finish.
