The Tumbleweed Pet Poo Composter from Clean Air Gardening
has a two-level system within its boxed lidded design. The upper level houses composting worms (not included), which eat and breed waste. Their waste or worm castings are left behind and can be used as beneficial compost. Any liquid waste drains from the upper level to the lower level where this waste can also be collected and applied to ornamental plants around the yard.
This composter works exclusively with pet waste. A separate composter
for food scraps and yard waste is recommended. Composting pet waste should be practiced with the use of coco fiber or other high carbon material such as sawdust or shredded newspaper, which absorb odors. Dog, rabbit, hedgehog, prairie dog, and chinchilla droppings can also be deposited in the Tumbleweed Pet Poo Composter. Cat droppings can be used only without the presence of gravel or kitty litter.
Worm composting
