Classic Hand-Tuned Teak Tower Wind Chime

The Teak Tower Wind Chime employs a radically different wind chime design and technology.  Fine, solid bronze rods are hardened and hand tapered, then fastened to a heavy metallic bridge block.  No cord is used to hold the chimes which extend vertically through the design.  Sound is radiated up through four, weather-tough, Teak, sounding boards to create a sound very similar to a grandfather clock.  This chime is sure to bring a sense of majesty to your outdoor living space.

J.W. Stannard wind chimes are held to the highest standards of sound quality.  Each bell is hand-tuned to ensure that every chime plays exactly the notes it was designed to play.  Most of the tubes are hung with protective nylon grommets to minimize the hanging cord’s contact with each chime.  This increases the cord’s life by 700% and provides a cleaner, clearer sound.  J.W. Stannard uses a soft wood clapper so that you hear only the musical sounds of the wind chime without the harsh ‘clanking’ of wood striking metal and most J.W. Stannard chimes are hung so that each chime is struck in its ‘sweet spot’, the precise location to achieve the purest tone.

J.W. Stannard note only produces great sounding chimes, but they go the extra mile to ensure convenience of use and lasting quality.  Durable hangers slip out of the top ring to wrap around tree branches or any closed support.  J.W. Stannard innovates with a magnetic clapper that can be slid up the support string and sticks to the top ring; this allows you to ‘turn off’ your wind chime at night or in periods of high wind.  Each tube element of the wind chimes is made of a specially developed metal alloy that will maintain the chimes perfect tuning and never rust and J.W. Stannard uses Diamond Line™, an indestructible fiber used to tether satellites, as the cordage in constructing their wind chimes.  Finally the top ring and wind catchers are made from weather resistant hard woods and all wood elements are hand-rubbed with three coats of marine varnish to preserve their natural beauty.
