Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Germany by Hoklartherm, a
leading manufacturer of commercial and hobby greenhouses, with 28 years
of experience, the RIGA III is truly a greenhouse by European
standards. It is designed to be used to grow fresh vegetables, herbs
and flowers in the middle of winter.
The RIGA III incorporates a number of unique design features to aid the
hobbyist gardener’s horticultural endeavors. The unique
‘onion’ shape of the RIGA line provides for more
interior headroom while providing a slope angle that snow and other
debris slide off and wind easily blows over. The RIGA III provides the
home gardener plenty of ventilation with one roof window, an oversized
rear window and a locking Dutch-door. Heavy duty rubber seals are used
in the windows, Dutch-door, and on the top and bottom of the side
glazing panels to keep out wind and inclement weather and maintain your
interior micro-climate.
Hoklartherm uses twin walled, polycarbonate glazing on all of the RIGA
greenhouses. The 8mm side and 10mm front and back panels yield a
greenhouse that is 40% cheaper to heat when compared to greenhouses
paneled with glass or fiberglass glazing. This means the better
insulated RIGA hobby greenhouse maintains a more stable interior
climate, protecting your plants from cold snaps and other climate
changes. The RIGA greenhouse’s extra wide panels
(40”) transmit more warming sunshine with less
‘moving shade’ as the sun travels over your
nursery. The polycarbonate panels also naturally diffuse light and
offer tender vegetation UV protection.
There are a variety of ways to customize your greenhouse for optimal
use. Optional shelves provide more growing and work space and because
they hang from the ceiling offer more storage space underneath.
Paraffin driven, auto window openers come with all RIGA greenhouses to
help maintain ventilation and regulate temperature. The optional base
is easily attached to the RIGA frame and adds up to five inches of
headspace. You’ll be gardening in no time as assembly usually
takes two people 6-10 hours to complete.
