These former owners of a successful gourmet wine store, famous for its holiday gift baskets, sought to create a unique line of gifts that could be sold year round.  They developed a line of premium, high-quality picnic baskets in 1982 and not long after, other retailer were eager to purchase wholesale picnic baskets for their own stores.  Picnic Time was born.
