Patio TorchesFire has been used to illuminate the night for hundreds of thousands of
years. It’s hard to imagine that we would still be choosing
to light the night with a series of torches. But why give up a good
thing. Even though we don’t have to rely on fire any longer
to light our way in the world, the notion of lighting a candle or oil
lamp to cast a glow on our yard or outdoor space is simply romantic.
And nothing demonstrates a romantic atmosphere better than positioning
patio torches or garden torches around the yard.
Outdora carries a complete line of torches including table
top torches, standing
torches, and hanging
torches.
Specific torches are fueled by propane, lamp or citronella oil, or
candle. Propane torches provide a constant flame and will continue to
burn until either the torch is switched off or the tank empties. Oil
torches are filled with lamp oil and burn until the oil is used up.
Citronella oil is an option for areas where mosquitoes are a nuisance.
This scented oil burns and fills their air with a scent, though
pleasant to humans, is a deterrent to pests. Candle torches are the
easiest to use since they only take a match or lighter to ignite them.
Most candle torches are designed so that the flame is sheltered from
direct exposure to wind or the elements.
